Excursion Details

Experience traditional Cyprus culture on this unique tour starting with a drive to the enchanting village of Lania. Stroll through its flower lined streets and admire the stone houses with their idyllic courtyards and visit the Commandaria storage museum, the old wine press, and an array of artist studios. Venture off north to the 11th century Byzantine church of Ayios Nikolaos tis Stegis, the highlight of our tour. This steeped pitched roof church known for its fine well-preserved frescoes is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our next stop is Kakopetria, one of the most well-renowned villages of the Troodos Mountains. We’ll wander around this medieval village which still retains its distinctive architecture and beauty and experience a real taste of authentic Cyprus. Round off the day with a wine tasting experience in Omodos, indulging your senses in the flavours of Cyprus wine, while savouring the village's splendid views.

• 07:45 – 08:45  Pick up from Paphos hotels (09:00 – 09:30 Limassol hotels pick-ups)
• 08:45 – 09:15  Drive to Pissouri (for Paphos guests only)
• 09:15 – 09:45  Coffee break in Pissouri (for Paphos guests only)
• 09:45 – 10:15  Drive to Lania Village
• 10:15 – 11:30  Guided walk through Lania Village
• 11:30 – 12:15  Drive towards Kakopetria Village
• 12:15 – 12:45  Visit Ayios Nikolaos tis Stegis Church
• 12:45 – 13:00  Drive to Old Kakopetria Village
• 13:00 – 15:00  Guided walk through Old Kakopetria with free time for lunch
• 15:00 – 15:50  Drive to winery in Omodos Village
• 15:50 – 16:40  Winery tour with wine tasting experience
• 16:40 – 18:40  Drive back to resort and drop off guests to hotels
